first term is almost over and i'm on my final night off. the kids leave on thursday (4 days) and it's crazy how fast it has gone by. unbelievable. i'm in love with my girls (and a few from other cabins that i've somewhat adopted as well...always happens). still struggling with a few girls. always a new adventure that's driven by a need for attention. Rachel is really struggling. there are just so many layers of hurt in her life. she really needs more help and counsel than i can give. pray for her. pray that Natalie and i would continue to pursue her despite her efforts at pushing us away or devising another attention-getting shenanigan. it really is a daily battle for us.
i'm excited for second term staff to come in. pumped for some good buds to get here. but sad for others to be leaving. it's been a blast this past month. there's something incredibly special about working and serving alongside someone as you wrestle through tough issues with your kiddos. i love the way the Lord works at this place. wish all of you could have a taste of it.
gotta wrap this up, but thanks for your encouraging notes and prayers. you have no idea how much it means to hear from y'all. so thankful for you in my life!!!!
