crazy week

so quick recap on the last 8 days: i went to dallas this past weekend for the kanakuk reunion and the OU/TX game. i saw so many friends from kamp and it was good to get a change of scenery too. we made some memories on the 7 hour drive both ways as well. so fun! i gave my student talk for the semester this past tuesday so i was more than slightly stressed about doing it, but i'm glad to be done with it. i talked about the five "lettuces" in Hebrews 10:19-25. super cheesy, but fun too.

yesterday i drove down to Norman, Oklahoma with a friend to watch Colorado play Oklahoma in volleyball. i got to see two kamp friends who play for Colorado and all my OU kamp friends too. i left Branson at 1:00pm and got back into town at 3:30 am. L O N G D A Y!! i needed to see everyone though, so the drive was definitely worth it. today i was absolutely exhausted from getting 2 hours of sleep last night, but i had my first small group with the volleyball girls and it was so fun! i made a fun questionnaire for them to fill out with their contact info, favorite things, and suggestions for activities and small group topics. get this: they want to learn more about discipleship (seriously, how cool is that?!) and they want to study Revelation and the end times (not kidding, that's what they want to dig into this year). these girls are rocking my world. i've been working with them for three weeks and i can't believe how the Lord has opened so many doors already. GOD IS SO GOOD!!

coaching is going well too. the girls won tonight on senior night and they played the best i've seen them play so far. they were in system and looked great! these are the days i think coaching might be on the radar.

classes this week were fun. we talked about youth ministry and what that looks like--we broke it down and talked about what works and what doesn't work. dad, good job. you pass with flying colors according to everything i'm learning so far. :)

that's all for now. life here on the island of Kauai is great and my new friends are awesome. bowling nights, karaoke nights and so much more. one month into this and i'm already overwhelmed by how much the Lord is teaching me and how many ways He's blessed me. now the question is, what do i do with that knowledge and those blessings? that answer is for another day...

so the world may know,
bekah <><

live for Jesus. laugh uncontrollably. love unconditionally.
