two prayers of mine

just one more thing tonight...two songs have absolutely blown me away recently...

the first one is "when the saints" by sara groves. i love the raw faith described in this song and how she talks about how these "saints" truly understood what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ....because really, faith without works is dead (James 2:14-18). this is my prayer...that i would be one of these saints who truly understands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef1o9FKjpxM

the second song is "desert song" by hillsong. it's just a reminder that no matter what stage of life i'm in, God is still God and for that, i have a reason to sing and worship. the last verse of the song is what compels me to act right now...."and this is my prayer in the harvest, when favor and providence flow. i know i'm filled to be emptied again, this seed i've received i will sow." this year at the institute has been one full of growth, knowledge, and being filled. now my prayer is to be emptied again as i pour out and share this knowledge i've received. it's not optional. it's my mission & i'm commanded to share (Matthew 28:19). i'm His ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20 & Ephesians 6:19-20). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QemZQKKJbRU

i'll leave you with this quote from Albert Schweitzer. A man i respect very much, Mr. John Blanchard (Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Carolina), shared this with all the Senior Student-Athletes last year before our graduation reception. it stuck. "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."

have a great weekend! go tell the world a thing or two about our Jesus
bekah <><

live for Jesus. laugh uncontrollably. love unconditionally.
