i love scuba diving

well, this week we took a deeper look at several parables in Luke. Randy Weeaks, a pastor from Texas, came and walked us through verse by verse. Fascinating! it's amazing how much you find when you slow down and really look at a passage. i highly recommend it. :)

i'm also still working on my belief statements. this week i've been working on Man/Sin/Salvation. no big deal. piece of cake. nothing at all really. HA!!! we have to email in our first four belief statements this monday, so i've spent most of today editing and filling in the holes in each of them (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Man/Sin/Salvation). it's a great project and very useful. just time consuming and mind-blowing at times too. i'm constantly having to step back and look at the bigger picture. it's WAY too easy to get caught up in all the small details. each statement could be pages upon pages, but you have to draw the line somewhere. the trick is knowing where to draw the line and stick to the big picture. :/

we're also enjoying some warm weather in Missouri recently. yesterday and today have both been in the mid-60s...which is awesome!!!!! yay for warmth! anyway, that's about all i have for now. not much of an update, but i'm really looking forward to the next two weeks of classes. we have Mitch Maher coming back to teach Acts and then Bernard Bourque coming to teach Romans. it'll be a one-two punch if you ask me. i love when we take a book of the bible and go verse by verse. topical classes are nice, but my favorites are when we just take Scripture and go scuba diving (as opposed to snorkeling and just skimming the surface). hope y'all have a great weekend!

so the world may know,
bekah <><

live for Jesus. laugh uncontrollably. love unconditionally.
